Welcome to the website of Hunsdon JMI Primary School – a small, friendly village school in the heart of the countryside.

Hunsdon is a happy school with a strong, caring ethos. We encourage and expect our children to work hard, behave well and try their very best, so they can develop into independent, self-confident students with, above all, a love for learning.

We offer a wide curriculum where academic excellence and creativity are highly valued and participation in sporting and music activities is encouraged and nurtured. Hunsdon is a school where every child is valued, and where every child is encouraged to succeed in our caring and supportive atmosphere; enabling them to grow and develop into well-rounded young people.

Our 'Outstanding' Ofsted report (November 2018) and exceptional academic and sporting standards are only part of the story. Hunsdon is very much a ‘local’ school with close ties to our community further strengthened by our committed Friends association which provides welcome fundraising support for the school, as well as organising a variety of social activities to promote community links.

We very much value the positive contributions to the life of the school from pupils, staff, parents, governors and the local community – because we are a whole school community working collaboratively with high expectations to support pupils’ intellectual, social, emotional, spiritual, moral and cultural development. Rigour and accountability will be maintained along with a will for everyone, pupils and staff alike, to continue to enjoy success.

If you are interested in our school please contact us, we would be very happy to show you around.
