School Journey to Kingswood

Timetable for the week click here

The intrepid Cedar Class are braving the wilds of Norfolk this week. A good journey, complete with picnic stop, ended at Overstrand early this afternoon, where the children have already righted the world with lasers, conquered the low ropes and are busy taking part in Wacky Races. We're looking forward to hot chocolate, bedtime and a good night's sleep!

Everyone slept well although the day began very early today! It was certainly not a rush to get to breakfast on time... The day has been filled with obstacle courses, orienteering, archery and, of course, Jacob's Ladder! All the children are having a wonderful time, the weather has been kind and we are looking forward to the Nightwalk this evening. Unfortunately, we are struggling to get photos back to base, but we will keep trying, and they will be posted here if that carrier pigeon makes it!

We have had a lovely day and the weather has been beautiful. This morning, refreshed by a good night's sleep, the children tackled three activities, including the towering team task High Equilibrium - aka 'the seesaw in the sky'. We enjoyed a hearty lunch before spending the afternoon on the beach building sand castles, exploring the shoreline and enjoying the sunshine. We finished off the day by singing songs around the campfire.

After a very good night's sleep this morning the teachers had to wake the children for breakfast! Under the blue Norfolk skies Cedar class designed and raced buggies, clambered around the climbing wall, built wooden shelters, leapt from great heights and navigated their way blindfold around an obstacle course whilst being doused by water-pistol toting 'squirrels'... The day finished with a rousing chorus of happy birthday to Elsa accompanying hot chocolate and birthday cake, before the children settled down for their final night at Kingswood
